A Soccer Mom’s [Desperate Plea] Prayer

I pray fervently, Heavenly Father

that you send your blessed rain my way.

This week has really done the most

And some surprise cancellations would make my day.

Three games on my sacred Saturday.

How could this be?

It really does leave so little time

for sleeping, eating…or watching TV.

I truly don't mind the grind...most days.

We chose this path ourselves, after all.

And nothing compares to watching my babies blaze

With joy on the field as they give their all.

But every now and again,

When my grip                     

starts to slip.

And I’m holding on with a little more strain,

I pray.
